This privacy notice tells you what to expect when MERiFIC collects personal information. It applies to information we collect about:

Visitors to our websites
When someone visits www.merific.eu we collect standard Internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. We collect this information in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our websites. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any personally identifying information from any source.
Use of cookies

wp-settings-2, wp-settings-time-2 – used by the website software we use to help manage site pages. This cookie expires when you close your browser.
_utma, _utmb, _utmc, _utmz – these cookies from Google Analytics are used to collect information about how visitors use our site. We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the site. Collecting your data
MERiFIC is run by Cornwall Council. If you send information to us, your data is being collected by Cornwall Council. We will use your data to help process any enquiry you make.
If you send data using forms on our website, your data will be stored temporarily on a server within the EU, before being downloaded to MERiFIC. We may take backups of this data and store these on a server in the EU.

Cornwall Council regards the lawful and correct treatment of personal information as very important to successful operations and to maintaining the confidence of those with whom we deal. We will always do our utmost to ensure that our organisation treats personal information lawfully and correctly.
